*Celebrating Unity and Friendship: The Acquaintance Party 2023 of the College of ICT and Engineering, Western Leyte College of Ormoc*
Western Leyte College of Ormoc, nestled in the heart of the vibrant city of Ormoc, annually hosts an Acquaintance Party that brings together students, faculty, and staff in a night of celebration, unity, and friendship. This event has become a much-anticipated tradition that fosters a sense of belonging and camaraderie among the college’s diverse community. The party was well planned and indeed a success, all thanks to the faculty and student leaders who gave their best in making this anticipated event happen. This event was highly anticipated from freshmens to graduates and instructors.
The organizations from ACES, ACSS, and DOICE, worked together along with other faculty. ACSS is in charge of the tickets and registration. ACES leads the planning and logistics, and the DOICE are the event and programme coordinators. Special thanks to the organization members and leaders who worked so hard and poured all their efforts. It was truly magical with glam and glitters with their hollywood style outfits at Sabin Resort Hotel.
“It was all worth the while and expenses”
The highlights of the event hold the singing contest entitled CICTE Singing Idol, induction of organization officers, the intermission number of the faculty, the Mr. and Ms. Head turner and the star of the night, and the rave party. DJ Karl Vincent with his disk jockey skills made the event fun and memorable, along with the decorations from Arnel Ugdamin. It was a master piece.
Mr. Neil Esmerio won as the champion of the the CICTE singing Idol!!
Special awards were given to the head turners and the star of the night (male & female).The Head Turner award was given to Riess Mae Perez (BSIT 1) and Den Kristoffer Lugod(BSIT 3), while the Stars of the Night was awarded to Analyn Alicaya (BSIT 2) and Rodmil Platero (BSCpE 3)
It was truly magical but the party isn’t a party without food. Food here in Sabin Resort Hotel is truly magnificent and mouth watering, as our students enjoy every last bite. No need to worry about getting hungry. The CICTE’s Acquaintance party is a hollywood style theme, met gala, or fashion week. As our students dress to impress and glam and shimmer their outfits on this very special night. The CICTE builds a long lasting foundation of friendship and camaraderie, to fully enjoy the life of being a college student here in Western Leyte College, CICTE department. It builds an opportunity to get along with freshmens, sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
To conclude this event, it is a success and it is a night to remember indeed. It’s all worth it and it’s nice to see youngsters participate and cooperate, making our event successful. Thank you to the organization officers, the faculty, and the students who joined the event. Hope to see you again in next year’s Acquaintance party!
